#jensfillerblocks Crazy 6.5″Cathedral Window

image

I couldn’t get this version of tiny craziness out of my head. It was more challenging than I would care to admit, but I did it and I love it!! I had so many people on instagram tell me that I’m crazy (in a good way, I hope?!) that I decided to call this the “crazy” version.

Background:
(20) 2 x 2″ squares

Print:
(21) 2 x 2″ squares

Once again, if you haven’t watched Jenny Doan’s Missouri Star Quilt Company tutorial, please do that first. I also HIGHLY recommend trying a larger version first. These tiny pieces are harder to manipulate for the desired effect, but well worth it once you have had some practice. The 5 “windows” on top may be helpful to trim down to 1 7/8″ x 1 7/8″ or even 1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″. Lay them on top before you start your window sewing and decide then. I had some raw edges pop out and I could not control it.

Cathedral windows work best, in my opinion, when they pop off of a background. All white instead of 16 prints would be amazing.
